Abu Dhabi (UAE), Nov 14, 2023 - Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressed his wish to revitalize the media sector and promote international cooperation in Abu Dhabi.

"Allow me to reflect on the importance of this World Media Congress in the United Arab Emirates. Your active presence and commitment testify to our deep desire to revitalize the media and promote international cooperation", said Mr. Mansour bin Zayed, opening the 2nd edition of the World Media Congress, which takes place from November 14 to 16, 2023 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.

About the idea of a community transcending national, ethnic, religious and cultural boundaries, he stressed the crucial role of the media in this dynamic.

The UAE, he added, continues to create opportunities for imagination, ingenuity and innovation, while recognizing the benefits of technology in everyday life. By hosting this Congress under unified leadership, the nation is reinforcing its commitment to economic growth, cross-cultural understanding and the promotion of peace, he continued.

However, the Minister called on industry professionals to harness the power of media to shape a better future, highlighting the role of this platform as a celebration of media excellence. He then encouraged participants to seize the opportunities offered by technological progress to contribute to the progress of "the fourth estate".

The World Congress is a plate-form for sharing knowledge, fostering inspiration and helping to shape the future of the media industry.
